With a sound both fresh and familiar at the same time, dichotomy could be the definition of NYC foursome, The Dives. Undeniable British rock influences flavor modern lyrics and infectious hooks while the band's high-energy live performances exude the fervor and intensity of all great rock & roll bands.
2017 was filled with exciting firsts for The Dives as the band celebrated their debut release, Everybody’s Talkin’, featuring four original tracks, at a release party doubling as a European tour send-off. In the heart of Greenwich Village, the crowd overflowed from the performance space and, just days later, The Dives were performing the title track along with “Man, Oh Mandy,” “Make It Like the Movies,” “Anticipation” and “Take It All” along with their other original songs for crowds that reached multiple tens of thousands in their opening slot for KISS at hallowed venues like London’s 02 Arena, the SSE Hydro in Glasgow and Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.
Hot off their European dates and not missing a beat, the very next week found the band back in New York City’s downtown rock clubs Bowery Electric and Mercury Lounge before taking their Anticipation Tour to venues in the great rock cities across America.
The seminal rock weekly, The Aquarian, featured The Dives on their cover, a first for the band. And, The UK’s Classic Rock Magazine raves, “Songs are everything. And The Dives have them.” The magazine featured The Dives’ new lyric video “Make It Like The Movies” as top track of the week.
